I own a saltwater pool (hayward aqua rite T-cell15) and bought a new salt cell last year. The salt level reads 3200 for a 30,000 gallon pool. For the past few years, I have been adding 1-2 gallons of liquid shock each week because my pool does not hold free chlorine. I had my water tested at a local pool store and they told me I should be adding 3 gallons of liquid shock each week. Last week, I added 3 tubs of granulated stabilizer to see if that would help hold chlorine and by the end of the week, low levels of stabilizer. Another local store told me my salt generator is not working and needs replaced. If the generator is not working, does the cell still produce salt? I replaced the screen last year as I was unable to read it and the lights were flickering. Since then, I can read the screen and the lights do not flicker. Is the circuit board bad even though everything seems to be working properly other than I cannot hold free chlorine? Or is it the transformer causing the issue? Is their a way to test to see which is one (or both) is causing the malfunction? Water is clear and pH, alkalinity are good. Last week, I also added 4 gallons of liquid shock. By morning, I saw white powder on the bottom which I assumed was dead algae. I vacuumed on waste. By next morning, brown looking dirt/dust back in the same spots. I can't seem to keep the pool bottom clean, could be from construction dust floating or what else is causing dirt/dust on the bottom 12 hours after vacuuming?

Can you tell me what that threaded elbow you threaded into your motor housing? I assume a simple 1/2" liquid tight connector? I have tried on mine and it only threads in about 3 threads. Yours looks to penetrate further. Even the nylon plugs they come with don't thread in very far.

Pls help. I have been struggling to close my Jandy filter clamp after cleaning my grids and cartridges. (I’m a pool man) Today, I’ve spent 3.5 hours trying to close the gap between the clamp so I can place the bolt/screw back on. Finally I had to use my channel locks to forcefully squeeze the gaps together. In my opinion, this should never happen. So what am I doing wrong? Pls help.

I have a replacement T15 and it says that I need to adjust “configuration “ if my firmware is greater than 1.5, my display says my firmware is 1.59, but nothing shows where / how to adjust “configuration “?

i have a 4-cartridge filter. 2 suctions coming into the pump, 1 from the skimmer and 1 from the vacuum. When i have the valve only on the skimmer side, i get around 5 psi but when i switch the valve position all the way to vacuum, and the PSI drops down to 0 however it still sucks in water pretty good. Should the filter pressure gauge stay around same psi when i switch from skimmer to vacuum or is 0 psi at vacuum ok?

Great video. Question on this. If you pull your grids out and replace them and clean the filter so no DE powder is in the system and then put the filter back together with new grids is the considered a "New Installation" and Full Amount would apply?

Don't buy it from DOHENY's online merchant. I had a simple 12 year warranty on a winter cover ( above ground). 2y ears in- holes blow outs. I sent many pictures to prove- Their response? So sorry- not covered. Yea. remember that before you buy from DOHENY's. They do not honor their warranties . What else do you need? Imaging buying a 2-10K pool system... Problem? Sorry. ( official Doheny';s policy).

My Hayward system has the power light on but not the generator light. No other lights are on. What should I do? Already tested the salt cell itself and they told me it’s still working. I even cleaned it.

Another thing to check and no one says this or notices. The rod itself the threads over time get this hard green gunk between them and the knob can't grab it properly. Take a flathead or small blade and clean the threads out. This crap will just chip right out. I see this all the time. Been a pool contractor for 16 years now. If the rod is stripped at the bottom end get rid of it. I've seen these blow into the neighbors roof and also take part of a roof off. These have also killed people. So don't chance it.

No poool needs calcium. Why can't any video explain how to lower my hardness? We have hard water so doing a partial drain is pointless. We did 2 partial drains last year because of cyanuric acid and it didnt touch the hardness.

Do you happen to know where i could drain it? I live in a neighborhood and i’m a corner house but we only have one gutter on our street and it’s on the opposite side. I’m not sure if i’m allowed to have the water run threw the street or alleyway. could I?

Hello you guys make great informative videos for sure . Can you use a Hayward W3SP2303VSP in a 15,000 gal pool ? My pool guy said you need a high head pump not a low head . What is the difference ? I have a Hayward Pool Vac W32025ADC pool sweep . Thanks again .

120 and 230 are both high voltage. Low voltage is something like 24 or 12 volts

what if my vacuum suction works on and off. It will work for about 10 minutes and then stop.

My pool is still not set up because trying to find best base to protect my liner and have a lil cushion. I did it last year with our old pool but on foam puzzle but didn’t have enough. And searched everywhere to find ones that interlocked with the current ones I have . I don’t want to give up, but damn

On the gear box I can hear gears turn but when I put the top drive on (that holds the red disc) it won’t drive it , and feels locked when I try to turn it , any suggestions please ?thanks roger

On the wet end there are 3 plastic plugs. I removed one and there isnt a hole at the end.of the threads. Do i drill one? If so what size?

Hello. thank you for your video. I replaced the handle as shown. I also replacement the pressure gauge at the same time. When I tried to restart, I have VSP comm error. I've tried to reset the breaker but continue to have same issue.

Ridiculous that you didn’t go over the most important thing which was the controller and what the hell the buttons means the only reason why I went to watch this I can drop something in the water hit a power button

Do NOT use a screwdriver or anything to pry apart, you will create a notch in the plastic housing since it is soft, this could create a leak. instead, re attach the handle and then carefully/slowly wiggle it off

Can u use the bubble technique or shaving technique if the valve u suspect is coming from the valve on the return side?! It’s drilling water and not sure if it’s the coupler where the valve is attached or from the orings in the 3 way valve…

My power light is off. All other lights are working. However, my salt level tests at 3600, but the dial says 2100, and is not decrementing. I tried all the info given so far. After the click, the check salt light comes on steadily. My cell is brand new.
